The famous Nollywood star, Abiodun Ayoyinka, has made a bold move in his professional journey by officially retiring the legendary Papa Ajasco persona.
For decades, Ayoyinka was the face of one of Nigeria’s most beloved comedy characters, but he has now introduced himself to the world as Bondu Alaska.
This announcement was made through a viral social media video where the actor expressed his deep gratitude to Nigerian fans for their unwavering support during his recent public appearances and interviews.
This celebrity rebranding is not just a change of heart but a strategic move involving intellectual property rights.
Ayoyinka clarified that the name "Papa Ajasco" is a registered trademark owned by Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP).
Due to this legal restriction, the actor is prohibited from using the name for his personal commercial projects or brand endorsements.
By transitioning to Bondu Alaska, he is reclaiming his creative independence.
He has already updated his Instagram handle to reflect this new chapter and is calling on corporate brands and fans to embrace his fresh identity as he promises to continue delivering top-tier entertainment.
