US Orders Emergency Iraq Evacuation as Iran-Backed Militias Target Embassy

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has officially issued an emergency warning, urging all American citizens to depart Iraq immediately.

This high-level alert follows a second overnight strike on the embassy by Iran-backed militias, specifically the group known as Kataib Hezbollah

With commercial flights currently suspended, officials are recommending that Americans travel overland to neighboring countries.

This Iraq evacuation order comes as the State Department identifies a growing risk to diplomatic facilities, hotels, and Western companies throughout the region.

The conflict has expanded beyond Iraq's borders into a wider regional war. Recently, the United States conducted U.S. airstrikes on Kharg Island to protect global energy interests.

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has asserted full control over the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to target any vessel attempting to pass through the waterway.

As oil prices soar by over 40 percent due to the blockade, President Trump has called for an international coalition, including Britain and China, to provide a naval escort for tankers to prevent a total global energy collapse.
