As President Bola Tinubu arrives for the first Nigeria state visit to the UK in nearly 40 years, British UK MPs are speaking out.

They are urging Prime Minister Keir Starmer to confront the President regarding the rising Christian persecution in Nigeria

Groups like Boko Haram attacks continue to launch dangerous assaults, making Nigeria one of the world's riskiest countries for religious freedom.

MP Jim Shannon, leader of the human rights group, stated that the Nigerian government must do more than just talk; they need to investigate and punish those responsible for these crimes.

The lawmakers also highlighted the long-standing case of Leah Sharibu, a schoolgirl kidnapped years ago who has yet to be released.

The goal is to ensure that future human rights obligations are integrated into business and security deals between the two nations.
