Nigerian defender Felix Agu has finally returned to full team training with Werder Bremen after weeks on the sidelines.
The 26-year-old’s comeback is a massive "timely lift" for the German Bundesliga club as they prepare for their crucial home game against FSV Mainz this Sunday.
Agu has been out since February due to a painful adductor muscle injury (an injury in the inner thigh area) that happened during a warm-up.
Because of this setback, Agu sadly missed the chance to represent Nigeria at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
After a long period of special exercises (rehabilitation), he is now fit enough to join the rest of the squad on the pitch.
While Agu is back, other Nigerian stars like Victor Boniface (knee surgery) and Wesley Ade (torn ligament) are still out with long-term injuries.
