President Donald Trump has issued a bold call to action, asking nations across the globe to deploy warships to the Strait of Hormuz

In a recent statement, the President asserted that the United States has already "decimated" Iran militarily and economically, but insisted that countries relying on Middle Eastern oil must now help secure the critical energy chokepoint

He specifically reached out to allies and trade partners, including the UK, France, China, Japan, and South Korea, to form a unified naval front.

The Strait of Hormuz is widely considered the most important shipping lane in the world, and its partial closure has sent oil prices skyrocketing.

While the UK Ministry of Defence and French President Emmanuel Macron have confirmed they are discussing options for a naval coalition, they have emphasized the need for careful organization and de-escalation.

The White House maintains that reopening the route to commercial shipping is a top priority, arguing that protecting the flow of energy should be a "team effort" rather than a burden carried solely by the American military.
