The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a formal inquiry into online reports suggesting that popular social media influencer Samuel Perry, famously known as Broda Shaggi, was shot on Sunday afternoon.
The incident reportedly took place under the Sango-Ota bridge while the entertainer was in the middle of a comedy skit production.
While details surrounding the cause of the gunfire remain blurry, reports indicate that the comedian may have sustained a gunshot injury during the commotion.
Despite the heavy circulation of these claims on social media, the command’s spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated that they cannot yet verify if the event occurred within their jurisdiction.
Interestingly, Broda Shaggi’s team has not yet filed an official report with the police. As investigations continue, the public is being warned against spreading unverified claims that could cause unnecessary panic.
Meanwhile, sources suggest the actor was taken to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos for medical attention following the scare.
