A top leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has made headlines by suggesting that Nigeria might need the British to return and govern the country again.
Speaking on AIT, Galadima argued that if the current government cannot solve the nation's security and corruption issues, "re-colonization" might be the only way to restore the rule of law.
Galadima believes the government should hire foreign mercenaries (professional hired soldiers) to quickly end the insecurity and banditry in the country.
He suggested that the British could help "sanitize" the country, teach better governance, and finally stop the deep-rooted corruption.
The NNPP chieftain urged leaders to stop being selfish and focus on creating an environment where average Nigerians can actually succeed.
He warned that without radical changes, the country's governance and safety will continue to decline.
