Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has shared a rare look into her private life with President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking during a special interfaith gathering in Abuja on Thursday, March 5, 2026, she revealed that in nearly four decades of marriage, she and the President have almost never raised their voices at one another.
The First Lady noted that despite being married for almost 40 years, she can only recall two instances where they had a loud disagreement, attributing their peace to maturity.
As a Christian married to a Muslim, she used her own home as an example of how Nigerians of different religions can live together in peace.
She emphasized that her long-lasting relationships are built on a shared fear of God, which she believes is the foundation for wisdom and integrity.
Addressing the women present, she urged the "old school" generation to mentor young Nigerians, passing down traditional values and intelligence.
