If you are looking to swap currency today, the exchange rate between the US Dollar (USD) and the Nigerian Naira (NGN) continues to fluctuate.

As of Saturday, March 7, 2026, the black market (parallel market) rates show a slight premium compared to the official banking window.

Currently, in the Lagos parallel market, traders are buying and selling at the following rates (based on Friday's closing):

  • We Buy (Buying Rate): ₦1,400

  • We Sell (Selling Rate): ₦1,420

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) maintains the official window for Forex. Their current recorded rates are:

The CBN does not recognize the black market. For all official foreign exchange transactions, they advise individuals and businesses to approach their respective banks.
