A fresh political battle has erupted between the presidency and the opposition. A top aide to the President has leveled serious accusations against a former candidate, sparking a fierce response about honesty and the vision for a better Nigeria.
The war of words between the presidency and the opposition has reached a new high as Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, launched a verbal attack on Peter Obi.
Sharing a video on social media, Bwala labeled the former presidential candidate as the "transactional politician-in-chief" and the leader of what he called "online Trojans." He suggested that Obi’s followers are blinded by a delusion of grandeur and that the politician's actions do not match his public image of integrity.
In a swift rebuttal, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), represented by Ibrahim Umar, dismissed Bwala’s claims as completely false and "baseless accusations."
The statement argued that Peter Obi has a well-known history of distancing himself from transactional politics and would never pay people to promote his cause.
Instead of hiring online influencers, the media team claimed that Obi would rather use his resources to provide desks for children in Bwala’s own village.
They maintained that Obi’s focus is strictly on good governance and persuading Nigerians to join a collective effort to rescue the nation based on shared convictions.
