The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has strongly criticized the United States government following the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

In a recent statement, the traditional ruler described the military action and the reported bombing of students as acts of "cowardice" that threaten global stability.

The monarch urged President Donald Trump to apologize to Iran and the world, arguing that the U.S. has lost its credibility by taking sides with Israel instead of acting as a neutral peacemaker.

Oba Akanbi labeled the killing of an 86-year-old leader a "sin against humanity" and condemned the collateral damage affecting innocent students during the strikes.

He noted that the war is already hurting the world economy, causing airport closures and leaving travelers stranded across the Middle East.

The Oluwo reminded world powers that "what war can do, peace can achieve more," warning that disrespecting the sovereignty of nations will lead to endless confrontation.
