Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially sworn in five new commissioners, praising the "rigorous" interview process they faced at the House of Assembly.
The Governor noted that the screening was so detailed that the new leaders already know exactly what is expected of them without needing extra instructions.
Fubara believes the tough questioning by lawmakers proves that the successful candidates are fully prepared to serve the people of Rivers State.
Because the screening was so thorough, the Governor said he didn't need to give them a long "charge" (official instructions) during the swearing-in ceremony.
The five officials sworn in include Tonye Bellgam, Prof. Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Lekue Kenneth, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
The new commissioners took their "Oaths of Office," promising to be honest and hardworking in their new government roles.
