Legendary actress Joke Silva recently shared new details about her long-lasting marriage to fellow movie icon Olu Jacobs.
Speaking on the TV show Your View, the 64-year-old star opened up about how they first met and what it’s like being married to an older man.
The couple met on a movie set nearly 40 years ago. While everyone else was excited to meet the famous Olu Jacobs, Joke admitted she didn't realize how big of a star he was at the time.
Joke revealed that for Olu, it was "love at first sight." However, for her, the feelings grew over time as they got to know each other.
Joke was 24 and Olu was 44 when they married. She joked that one of the best parts of marrying an older man is that they tend to be more patient and let their wives "get away with a lot of things."
Their marriage is considered one of the most successful in the Nigerian movie industry, spanning four decades and blessed with two children.
