The conflict in the Middle East has entered a violent new phase. Following the targeted killings of senior Iranian officials, Tehran has launched a massive retaliatory strike involving ballistic missiles and drones, hitting major Israeli population centers and triggering air defense systems across several Gulf nations.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has confirmed a large-scale ballistic missile attack on Tel Aviv and surrounding areas.

In the Israeli city of Ramat Gan, officials reported that at least two people were killed and others injured by shrapnel from a cluster missile strike.

This barrage is a direct response to the Tuesday airstrikes near Tehran that killed Ali Larijani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, and Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij militia.

Larijani was a key confidant of the late Ayatollah Khamenei, making his death a massive blow to the Iranian leadership.

In Lebanon, the death toll continues to rise as the Israeli military expands its campaign. At least six people were killed and 24 injured in central Beirut on Wednesday morning.

For the first time in this conflict, entire buildings in the Bachoura neighborhood have collapsed following Israeli strikes.

While previous attacks focused on the southern suburbs (Dahiya), the latest heavy airstrikes in Beirut have hit central districts without warning, sparking fires and sending thick black smoke over the capital as ambulances rush to treat the wounded.
