Controversial Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has claimed that the Federal Government of Nigeria has full records of every terrorist's identity and whereabouts.
Speaking on DRTV, Gumi defended his interactions with armed groups, insisting that he never meets them alone and always works alongside security agencies.
Gumi clarified that during his negotiations in the bush, he is always accompanied by the Police, Military, and DSS, as well as traditional rulers (Emirs).
The cleric stated he is willing to support groups like IPOB, Boko Haram, and bandits, but only if they agree to drop their weapons and negotiate peacefully.
Gumi believes that bad roads, poor electricity, and a failing healthcare system are the real reasons why insecurity is growing in Nigeria.
He called for the government to move away from only using "force" and instead use experts and intellectuals to solve the crisis through discussion.
