In a dramatic turn of events in the nation's capital, operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly descended upon the Abuja home of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
According to eyewitness accounts, the security personnel carried out a coordinated operation at the Maitama residence, which involved the forceful removal of the building's occupants.
This incident occurred on Monday, just moments after the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar had concluded a private visit to the premises.
Sources indicate that Atiku, a key figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), spent approximate
ly one hour consulting with Malami before his departure.
Interestingly, witnesses noted that security operatives had already taken up strategic positions around the property during the meeting but waited for the former Vice-President to exit before moving in.
While the DSS has not yet released an official statement regarding the specific reason for this raid, the timing has sparked intense speculation across Nigeria's political landscape.
Although Atiku shared photos of the meeting on social media, he did not initially comment on the subsequent arrival of the armed operatives.
