The legendary Nigerian actor, Abiodun Ayoyinka, widely celebrated as the face of the Papa Ajasco & Company series, has shared the difficult truth about his life after the spotlight.

In a recent emotional interview, he explained that while he achieved global fame, he does not own the character’s trademark

This legal limitation means he cannot use the name "Papa Ajasco" or the famous iconic costume for his own business deals or advertisements without direct permission from Wale Adenuga Productions.

Because the brand is so strong, most companies want to hire him only if he appears as the character they grew up watching.

Since he lacks exclusive rights to the persona, he has had to turn down numerous commercial engagements and brand campaigns.

Ayoyinka, who previously worked for the Lagos State Government in the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, retired five years ago but admits that life has been a major challenge.

Despite his status as a comedy franchise star, he revealed that he does not own a car or a house, illustrating the harsh reality many veteran entertainers face in the industry.
