A survivor of the horrific attack on Woro community in Kwara State has shared a chilling story of how terrorists tricked residents before opening fire.

According to Magaji Woro, the attackers didn't just invade; they used "holy" disguises to lure families to their deaths.

The gunmen arrived around 5 p.m. and used the Muslim call to prayer (Adhan) to bring people out of their houses. They also pretended to be there for religious preaching to avoid early suspicion.

To catch those still hiding, the terrorists set houses on fire and shouted for help. When kind-hearted neighbors rushed out to put out the flames, the gunmen began shooting and slaughtering them.

The massacre lasted from evening until 4 a.m. the next morning. The survivor claimed that no security forces arrived to help during the entire 11-hour ordeal.

Beyond those killed, at least 176 people were kidnapped. The survivors now feel abandoned by the government and are calling for urgent protection.
