Following the release of a video by Boko Haram parading abducted women and children, the Kwara State Government has assured citizens that it is taking every step possible to secure their release.

The government is currently using the video to pinpoint exactly who was taken during the February 3rd attack.

Government officials are working directly with Woro community leaders to cross-check the faces in the video against lists of missing residents.

The state explained that they haven't given an official "headcount" because the situation is fluid—some residents are still hiding in bushes or have moved to neighboring states like Niger for safety.

A response committee, led by Ahmed Ibn Muhammed, has been set up to handle the crisis, provide food and medical support, and manage the security side of the rescue.

The statement emphasized that the priority is not just getting the citizens back, but also ensuring the terrorists responsible for the raid are caught and punished.
