Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, a prominent relationship coach, has sparked a conversation about tattoos, arguing there's no scriptural or scientific basis to label them as wrong for Christians.
During an interview on News Central TV, Okonkwo emphasized that opposition to tattoos often stems from personal opinions, church rules, or individual interpretations, rather than biblical teachings.
He cautioned against judging people by their appearance, comparing it to blaming clothing for crime. "Tattoos don't determine a person's character," Okonkwo stressed, noting that good and bad people alike can have tattoos.
The pastor also linked this mindset to the church's hesitation to participate in politics, saying Christians should focus on faith, character, and actions instead of judging others based on looks or cultural norms.
Okonkwo recently shared a Bible-inspired tattoo on his arm, featuring John 3:16, further fueling the discussion.
