Angela Okorie Gets N5m Bail in Cyberstalking Case

 

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has been granted N5m bail in a cyberstalking case involving colleague Mercy Johnson. 

Justice Emeka Nwite ruled Okorie, who pleaded not guilty, must remain at Suleja Correctional Centre pending bail perfection.

Okorie allegedly conspired with Ifeoma Mbonu to cyberstalk and defame Johnson via Instagram and TikTok in 2024. 

Her management denies the allegations, saying she's cooperating with authorities and maintaining innocence.

The case stems from Okorie's social media posts, including accusations of witchcraft against Johnson and her mother. 

Okorie later apologized, citing mental health concerns. Trial continues March 23, 2026
