Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has sacked traditional rulers in Amasiri clan and dissolved the local leadership structure following a violent attack on Okporojo community, leaving four beheaded.
Nwifuru also removed Commissioner for Tertiary Education Prof Amari Omaka and dissolved the Amasiri Town Development Union.
The governor warned against retaliatory violence, promising decisive action against perpetrators.
The attack, involving beheadings and abductions, was condemned as "barbaric". Nwifuru's visit signals the state won't tolerate lawlessness.
