The APC in Rivers State is buzzing after Governor Siminalayi Fubara's defection, with party members saying it's strengthened and united them.
Ward congresses in Ahoada East and Khana constituencies saw enthusiastic participation, with members expressing support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid.
Committee chairmen attribute the energy to Fubara's leadership, saying the party now has clearer direction and focus. "The people are happy with the new development and emergence of a new leader," said Shehu Dange.
Delegates elected will vote in APC primaries for the Feb 21 House of Assembly bye-elections. The exercise was monitored by INEC and security agencies.
