Central Bank Allows Temporary Use of Expired licences for Imports

 

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is allowing importers to use expired NAFDAC licences for two months to ease trade processing challenges. 

The temporary window, effective immediately, aims to address difficulties with licence validation and renewal on the new B’Odogwu platform.

The CBN cited operational issues with the Nigeria Integrated Customs Information System II migration as the reason for the approval. Importers can continue using expired licences for Form M processing until February 28, 2026.
