President Bola Tinubu has officially welcomed Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as a massive "political investment" that guarantees the party's future success.
During a high-profile ceremony in Yola, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President declared that with Fintiri on board, the APC's victory is sealed for the 2027 General Elections.
Tinubu emphasized that the Governor’s decision to join the ruling party is a significant boost for the party's influence across the North-East region.
The President praised Fintiri’s track record, particularly his rapid infrastructure development and leadership style focused on the "comfort of his people."
According to Tinubu, a leader of Fintiri’s caliber is "too good to be in opposition."
To ensure a smooth transition, the President clarified the party hierarchy, confirming that as a sitting Governor, Fintiri is now the undisputed leader of the party in Adamawa State.
This move is expected to unify the party structure, from National Assembly members to the state assembly, ensuring a consolidated front against the opposition in the coming years.
