A series of Iranian missile and drone attacks targeted major aviation hubs in the UAE late Saturday, resulting in one death and several injuries.
While air defense systems intercepted most of the weapons, falling debris caused damage near airports in Dubai (DXB) and Abu Dhabi (Zayed International).
One person (an Asian national) was killed in Abu Dhabi by falling debris, and a total of 11 others were injured across both major cities.
Flight operations were temporarily frozen, leaving thousands of travelers stuck. Aviation teams are now working around the clock to clear debris and safely resume all scheduled flights.
The attacks were part of a larger retaliatory strike by Iran following recent military actions taken by the United States and Israel.
The UAE government has warned the public not to share rumors or unverified videos on social media, urging everyone to follow only official government updates.
