U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a high-stakes warning to Iran, telling their leadership "they better not" launch a counter-attack following the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.
Speaking via his Truth Social platform on Sunday, the President made it clear that any move by Tehran to strike back would be met with overwhelming military power.
After reports emerged that Iran was planning to "hit very hard" in revenge, Trump warned that the U.S. is ready to strike back with a level of force that the world has "never seen before."
The warning follows a massive operation—codenamed "Epic Fury"—which resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and several other top military and government officials.
While Trump has warned against further escalation, Iran has already reportedly launched waves of missiles and drones targeting U.S. bases in the region and various sites in Israel.
Despite the heavy military action, the President stated that the ultimate objective is to achieve long-lasting "peace throughout the Middle East" by removing what he described as a "vicious" regime.
