An Abuja Federal High Court has issued a stern warning to politician and Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore.
On Thursday, Justice Mohammed Umar threatened to cancel Sowore’s bail and order his arrest after he and his large legal team failed to appear for his cybercrime trial.
Neither Sowore nor any of his 30 lawyers attended the scheduled hearing, despite being officially notified.
The DSS is prosecuting Sowore for allegedly making false claims on social media against President Bola Tinubu.
The judge gave Sowore the "benefit of the doubt" because he has attended every other session since last year, but warned that this is his final grace period.
If Sowore misses the next date on March 16, 2026, the court will likely issue a "bench warrant," meaning the police must arrest him and bring him to court by force.
