President Trump Warns Iran of Total Destruction of South Pars Gas Field Following Qatar Strikes

The world is watching as a dangerous "tit-for-tat" conflict in the Middle East threatens to push global energy prices to record highs.

US President Donald Trump has issued a severe warning to Tehran, stating he is prepared to wipe out Iran's largest gas field if the Islamic Republic continues to target US allies like Qatar.

This bold stance follows a series of explosive events, starting with a reported strike on the South Pars Gas Field, a massive underwater energy reserve shared between Iran and Qatar.

While Israel has not claimed responsibility, the resulting Middle East tensions have caused the price of oil to jump to nearly $110 per barrel.

In what appears to be a direct retaliation, Tehran launched missiles at Ras Laffan, a critical industrial hub in Qatar that houses the planet's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing plant.

The state-owned company, QatarEnergy, confirmed "extensive damage" to the facility.

President Trump took to social media to defend Qatar, insisting they had no involvement in the initial strikes against Iran.

He warned that any further aggression would be met with an American response of "strength and power" never before seen, specifically targeting the South Pars site.

For the average person, this conflict isn't just about politics; it has already caused wholesale gas prices in Europe to double, making electricity and heating significantly more expensive.
