The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has officially reduced the cost of petrol at its stations nationwide.
As of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, motorists in Lagos and Abuja began paying less at the pump, providing much-needed relief after months of rising energy costs.
Petrol is now ₦1,130 per litre in Lagos and ₦1,165 per litre in Abuja.
This is a reduction of up to ₦100 per litre in some areas.
Stations in areas like Ago Palace Way (Lagos) and Wuse (Abuja) have already updated their meters to reflect the lower prices.
The price drop is happening because global crude oil prices have fallen from $110 to $92 per barrel.
