The Abia State Government, under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, hosted a prestigious State Burial Service on Thursday to honor the life of the late globally acclaimed preacher, Reverend Uma Ukpai

The legendary evangelist passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a massive void in the Christian community.

The event, which took place at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia, saw a massive turnout of influential figures, including former presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Other prominent leaders in attendance included Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, showcasing the widespread respect for the deceased.

During the ceremony, Governor Otti delivered a moving speech, telling the congregation that the cleric had not truly died but had simply "transited" to a higher realm.

He encouraged the people of Abia State and the Christian Faith to focus on building lasting legacies rather than mourning, as the impact of the Late Evangelist would remain permanent.

Notable figures like Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo were also present to pay their last respects to a man who shaped many lives.
