Nigerian star Alex Iwobi is celebrating what he calls a "unique" strike after helping Fulham secure a vital 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage

The win, coming just days after another victory against Sunderland, has put Fulham within touching distance of the European qualification spots.

Iwobi doubled Fulham's lead in the 34th minute with a clever side-footed shot from the edge of the box. He explained that the goal was unusual because of how he had to open his hips to place the ball perfectly into the corner.

Before Iwobi’s goal, Harry Wilson opened the scoring with a powerful volley. Iwobi praised Wilson as a "special player," noting that the team gives him the freedom to create magic on the pitch.

With 40 points now on the board, Fulham is only three points away from 7th place. Iwobi believes that if the team stays "mentally strong" and consistent, they can finish very high in the league table.

Despite a rough patch earlier in the season where they lost three out of four games, Iwobi says these back-to-back wins have given the squad a huge confidence boost for the final stretch of the season.
