Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Policy Communication, has sparked a social media storm after denying his past criticisms of the President.

During a high-stakes interview on Al Jazeera’s Head to Head, host Mehdi Hasan confronted Bwala with his previous statements from when he served as a spokesperson for the opposition.

When asked about his 2023 claims that Tinubu used a "militia" to influence the election, Bwala repeatedly told the host, "I never said that."

Bwala also denied previous remarks regarding suspicious cash movements and claims that he had been threatened by the Tinubu camp during the campaign.

The President's aide explained his change of heart by stating that as an opposition member, his job was simply "to oppose."

Bwala maintained that his past comments were merely part of political games and are no longer relevant to his current role defending the administration.
