If you are looking to swap currency today, the Dollar to Naira exchange rate remains a top priority for businesses and travelers.

As of Thursday, March 12, 2026, the black market (parallel market) rate in Lagos shows a slight gap compared to the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) rates.

Currently, traders (Aboki fx) are buying Dollars at ₦1400 and selling at ₦1420.

The official government rate is lower, with a low of ₦1373 and a high of ₦1388.

While the black market is popular, the CBN officially advises Nigerians to use their local banks for all Forex (FX) transactions.

Note that these rates can change hourly depending on your location and the specific Bureau De Change (BDC) operator you visit.
