Staying informed about the latest currency fluctuations is essential for business owners and travelers alike. As of today, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the valuation of the local currency continues to shift across different platforms.

For those asking "how much is a dollar to naira today," the market remains divided into two primary tiers.

In the Lagos Parallel Market, commonly referred to as the Black Market or Aboki FX, currency traders are currently operating with specific margins.

As of Tuesday, March 17, and leading into today, sources from the Bureau De Change (BDC) confirm that traders are selling the dollar at ₦1430 while they are buying from individuals at a rate of ₦1412.

This gap represents the immediate liquidity available for those looking to swap their foreign exchange quickly.

In contrast, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) maintains a different fiscal stance.

The official exchange rate provided by the apex bank shows a highest rate of ₦1355 and a lowest point of ₦1340

It is crucial to remember that the CBN does not officially recognize the parallel market and continues to urge all citizens and businesses to process their Forex transactions through their respective commercial banks.

Because prices vary significantly by location and volume, the daily currency valuation you encounter on the street may differ slightly from these captured figures.
