Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly flown out of Saudi Arabia as the security situation in the region worsens.
His luxury £61 million private jet was tracked leaving Riyadh overnight and heading to Madrid, Spain, just as the city came under fire from drone attacks.
Flight tracking data showed Ronaldo’s Bombardier jet leaving Riyadh at 8:00 PM and landing in Madrid five hours later. This happened shortly after drones hit the U.S. Embassy in the Saudi capital.
While it hasn't been officially confirmed if his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, and their five children were on board, the move follows a massive scramble by foreign nationals to leave the area.
Ronaldo, who is currently 41 and playing for Al Nassr, was already out of action due to a muscle injury. Because of the fighting, his team’s upcoming Asian Champions League match has been postponed.
The jet is a high-tech "home in the sky," featuring a private bedroom, a shower, and 15 seats, all decorated with Ronaldo’s famous "CR7" logo.
