The Champions League quarter-finals lineup is taking shape after a night of elite European football.

Real Madrid once again proved why they are the kings of the competition, securing a clinical 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

This result finalized a 5-1 aggregate victory, effectively ending the English side's hopes early.

The match turned when City's captain received a red card for a goal-line handball, allowing Vinicius Junior to score from the penalty spot.

Although Erling Haaland managed to equalize before the break, a late strike from Vinicius ensured the Spanish giants advanced, marking the fourth time in five years they have knocked City out.

Meanwhile, in London, Paris Saint-Germain showed no mercy to Chelsea, cruising to a 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

This dominant display completed a massive 8-2 aggregate triumph for the French club.

Early goals from stars like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and a fine finish from Bradley Barcola put the game out of reach for the hosts.

With their title defence looking stronger than ever, PSG moves forward as a top contender, while Arsenal also booked their place by defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at the Emirates.

The Gunners showed great composure, with Declan Rice helping to seal a 3-1 aggregate victory to set up a thrilling next round.
