Alao-Akala Family Feud: Full Property List Revealed as Estate Battle Hits Oyo High Court

The legal battle over the massive inheritance of the late Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former Governor of Oyo State, has taken a dramatic turn. 

His first daughter, Oluwatoyin Alao Aderinto, has approached the Oyo State High Court (Suit No: I/443/2024) to challenge how her father's vast estate is being managed. 

Since the statesman’s death on January 12, 2022, a deep family rift has emerged, pitting the claimant against the executors and administrators, Oluwakemi Alao-Akala and Olamide Alabi.

The legal suit alleges that asset disposal has been happening behind the scenes without the consent of all rightful heirs. 

The claimant is seeking a court injunction to halt any further property sales, joint ventures, or transfers of ownership. 

She argues that without judicial intervention, her equitable interest in the legacy could be permanently damaged. 

The disclosure of the full property list reveals a portfolio spanning Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Ogbomoso, and international locations like the United Kingdom and United States.

The Disputed Property Portfolio Includes:

• Residential & Guest Houses: No. 1, Oba Akinyele Avenue (Old Bodija, Ibadan); Guest House in Agodi GRA; No. 29, Osuntokun Avenue (Bodija); Five-bedroom bungalow (Ologuneru); Guest house at YOACO; Destiny House (Mokola and Ogbomoso); Deborah House (Sabo); Bungalow at Randa; Opadoyin Lodge.

• Lagos & Abuja Holdings: No. 8, Samora Machel Street (Asokoro); Games Village (Abuja); Twin duplex in Ikeja; No. 4, George Street (Ikoyi); Duplex near Iponri Barracks; Plot at Water Corporation Drive (Oniru).
