During a White House event on Thursday, President Donald Trump suggested that the United States might turn its attention toward Cuba after finishing its current military campaign against Iran.
Speaking to the 2025 MLS champions, Inter Miami CF, the President indicated that a change in the island nation’s leadership or status is "just a question of time."
Trump stated that while the U.S. and its ally Israel are currently busy with operations in the Middle East, they are keeping a close eye on Cuba.
Addressing players and guests with Cuban roots, Trump teased a future where people could return to a "fixed" Cuba, though he did not provide specific military details.
The President confirmed that American and Israeli forces are still actively engaged in the week-long military campaign against Iranian targets.
The comments come as global tensions rise, with the U.S. taking a much more aggressive "America First" approach to regional security.
