Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, says he's keeping a close eye on developments in Oyo State's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking at the PDP's 105th National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, Wike emphasized his commitment to the party's survival and strength.
Wike dismissed claims of intimidation, citing recent judicial victories for his faction. "Who will intimidate us to the end? Some of us, by God's grace, don't see what anyone can threaten us with," he said, referencing the power struggle in Oyo PDP.
The conflict follows a court annulment of a parallel national convention held in November 2025 by a faction loyal to Governor Seyi Makinde and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.
The court sided with the faction that established a Caretaker Committee for the state.
