President Bola Tinubu has made a personal appeal for peace and reconciliation as the holy month of Ramadan begins.

Speaking at a religious gathering (Tafsir) at the State House Mosque in Abuja on Wednesday, the President asked Nigerians to forgive any wrongs he might have done to them.

Tinubu highlighted that the core of Ramadan is drawing closer to God, sharing love, and forgiving one another. "If I have sinned against you, forgive me," he stated.

He noted that this year’s Ramadan coincides with the Christian season of Lent, calling it a divine sign that Nigerians of all faiths should live together in unity and peace.

The President urged citizens to use this sacred time to pray for the country's stability and to support the fight against insecurity, terrorism, and banditry.
