Nigerians in the US are secretly returning home or going into hiding due to President Trump's intensified deportation campaign.
Many have stopped working, fearing ICE agents, and are instead turning to online trading or relying on family support.
A Nigerian woman shared her traumatic experience, saying ICE agents are killing immigrants, sparking panic and grief among the community. "It's very traumatising the way these people are treating immigrants," she said, appealing to Trump to be clear about his intentions.
The President of the Nigerian community in Maryland, Chris Ademiluyi, says many are hiding, as Nigeria's economic and security situation isn't better.
