The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face Mozambique in the Round of 16 of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco on Monday, January 5, at 8pm.
The match will take place at the 35,000-capacity Complexe Sportif de Fès, a familiar venue for Nigeria having hosted all their Group C matches.
Nigeria arrives at the knockout stage with confidence, having won all three group matches, scoring eight goals and conceding four.
Key players like Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika have each scored twice, with contributions from Ajayi, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Paul Onuachu.
Mozambique, on the other hand, had a tougher group stage, losing to Côte d'Ivoire, beating Gabon, and narrowly losing to Cameroon.
History favors Nigeria, having won four of their five previous meetings, including a 3-0 AFCON win in 2010.
