The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged 2026 Batch ‘A’ corps members to respect local customs, remain committed to their duties, and contribute to Nigeria's socio-economic growth

He emphasized discipline, creativity, and responsibility during their service year, addressing corps members at orientation camps in Ogun and Oyo states

Nafiu advised corps members to manage finances wisely, uphold good conduct, and respect host community rules. "Respect their rules, be punctual, be resourceful, and learn the culture of the organisation you are posted to," he said.

In Ogun State, 3,341 corps members registered, while 3,068 registered in Oyo State. Both groups showed commendable character and adaptability to camp life.

The orientation course started January 21, 2026, with closing ceremony scheduled for February 10, 2026
