The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reduced Remo Stars' home ground ban from an entire season to just five matches, following an appeal against sanctions imposed by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The club was penalized for crowd disturbances during a match against Ikorodu City on January 14, where supporters attacked the visiting team with weapons, injured fans, and damaged their bus.

The NFF disciplinary committee maintained most financial penalties, including ₦2 million for inadequate security, ₦1 million for throwing objects onto the pitch, and ₦2 million compensation for injuries and damage.

However, Remo Stars will now play only five matches away from their Ikenne base, with four of their remaining eight home fixtures affected.

The club has started serving the ban, hosting Kun Khalifat in Ibadan and upcoming matches against Plateau United, Abia Warriors, and Katsina United at the Lekan Salami Stadium. Remo Stars sit 17th on the NPFL table, battling relegation with 27 points
