Chelsea Scoop Up Teen Sensation! Alao Joins Blues from Sheffield Wednesday"

 

Chelsea has scooped up teenage left-back Yisa Alao from Sheffield Wednesday, signing him to a 2028 contract. 

The 17-year-old Nigeria-eligible defender beat off competition from three top-flight sides to join the Blues.

Alao, who joined Sheffield Wednesday's academy at 7, made his senior debut in August 2025 and went on to feature in the Championship, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. His composure against Premier League Brentford earned him praise.

Chelsea announced the signing, stating: "Welcome to Chelsea, Yisa."
