The Lagos State Government has officially warned Nollywood actress Sarah Martins to stop cooking and distributing food on public roads.

While the government acknowledges her charitable heart, the Commissioner for the Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, stated on Sunday, March 8, 2026, that her actions violate environmental and public order laws.

Cooking or selling food on walkways, road medians, and highways is illegal in Lagos. It causes traffic, creates trash, and is a safety risk.

This isn't the first time. The actress was previously arrested in October 2025 in Lekki, where her equipment was seized by the KAI (Kick Against Indiscipline) task force.

The government warns that if she continues, she will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Commissioner advised her to use "proper channels" or private locations for her charity work instead of obstructing public spaces.
