The ongoing leadership battle within the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) took a dramatic turn on Tuesday.

Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, officially regained possession of the union's national secretariat in Abuja.

This move follows a brief period where a rival faction had occupied the building. After returning to the facility, the National President was seen inspecting the premises to assess damaged property resulting from the previous day's events.

The conflict reached a boiling point when a group led by Tajudeen Baruwa moved into the office on Monday.

Baruwa argued that his actions were a peaceful takeover backed by valid court judgments from both lower and appellate courts.

He claimed that after waiting two years for the law to be enforced, his team decided to "occupy" their rightful office.

However, MC Oluomo has hit back, labeling the move a forceful takeover

He clarified that he was not even a defendant in the specific legal case mentioned and confirmed that a stay of execution has been filed, meaning the court's orders are currently on hold while the legal proceedings continue.
