In a major boost for Nigerian sports, members of the D’Tigress basketball team have finally received the title documents for their new houses in Abuja.

The presentation took place in Lyon, France, where the team is currently training for the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

Alongside the property documents, the players and officials were also presented with certificates for national honours, marking a significant recognition of their historical achievement in winning the 2025 Afrobasket tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.

The National Sports Commission, led by Chairman Shehu Dikko, emphasized that this prompt delivery of rewards represents a "Renewed Hope" for all Nigerian athletes

Unlike in previous years where sports stars waited decades for government promises, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ensured these commitments were met swiftly.

This gesture is designed to prove that representing Nigeria is a rewarding endeavor, turning professional sports into a serious career path that can truly change lives and provide long-term security for those who bring glory to the nation.
