Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has reached a deal with labour unions after marathon talks.

The dispute had disrupted activities in Abuja, but a meeting chaired by Senator Mohammed Bomoi helped resolve the issue.

The talks, which lasted over three hours, saw tense moments before calm was restored. Present were Wike, NLC President Joe Ajaero, TUC's Festus Osifo, and other labour leaders.

Key outcomes include:

- No worker will be victimised for the industrial action

- Pending cases at the National Industrial Court will be withdrawn

- Wike assures mutual respect and engagement with labour

NLC's Benson Upah says workers in FCT have been directed to resume duties immediately.
